SAU 50 Community Preschool Program

The SAU 50 Early Childhood Preschool Program supports diverse learners who are typically developing as well as students with educational disabilities. The program offers a sensory and language-based experience for our youngest learners with a focus on the development of early literacy skills through play-based approaches and developmentally appropriate activities.

The SAU 50 Preschool Program is located at Rye Elementary School in the beautiful community of Rye, New Hampshire. Preschool-aged students, ages 3 to 5) who live in any of our SAU 50 towns (Greenland, New Castle, Newington, and Rye) are eligible to attend.

Preschool Teacher – Carole Ryan

Hello families! I have been teaching young children for nineteen years. I hold a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of New Hampshire and a Bachelor’s degree in Family Studies. I also have a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Special Education Administration.

I believe relationships with families are important for creating a positive early learning experience. Preschool is a magical time of development and I feel honored to join you on this journey. I strive to build a community within the classroom that supports all types of learners.

When I am not teaching, I love to craft, go on adventures with my family, and enjoy coffee with a good book. I look forward to collaborating with you and your students in order to have a wonderful school experience.
