Voicethread Directions
A Voicethread needs two part; something to look at (picture or movie) and a comment (text or audio).
Part one - the picture.
- Edit the picture as needed and save it with your blog name and the topic. (For example, KHISPlanet.jpg)
- Save it to the specified location that the teacher sets up. (It could be your whipperwill folder or a shared folder.)
Part two - the audio.
- We will use Audacity unless otherwise told to do so.
- Go to the Start menu > All programs > Audacity
- Do a test check to see if it is recording.
- Reminder that pausing and stopping are two different things.
- Record your comment.
- Edit as needed.
- Save project as Blogname and topic, such as KHISplanet, into the correct location.
- NOTE - It will save it into TWO parts. These parts must not be changed.
- If you need open it up again use the one which ends in .aup
- Do not close it out yet. After you have saved it, you will need to export it as an .mp3.
- Click on File>Export as mp3.
- For the first time you use it, you will have to get a file. Click that you want to get it.
- YOu can find it in the 2017 folder.
- Then fill out the ID tags as follows:
- Title - Project name
- Artist - your blog name
- Album - Science - Adams
- Year - 2011
- Genre - change to OTHER
- Comment - leave blan
